Biography

A life long resident of south central Louisiana, Kelly Guidry’s work strongly reflects the local Acadian culture. Part formally trained and part self-taught, he has made a living as a sculptor since 2000. Using a chainsaw and other finishing tools, Guidry creates wooden forms that are then combined with copper and welded metal. Guidry states, “Every day I wake up feeling blessed. I love what I do and I love that it brings joy to others as well.”
