Biography

Darrell Bourque is a former Louisiana poet laureate and the 2014 recipient of the Louisiana Book Festival Writer Award. The author of several collections of poems, his Where I Waited (Yellow Flag Press) is written in the voices of four Louisiana music legends. His latest book is Megan's Guitar and Other Poems from Acadie (ULL Press) and his forthcoming new work is Love Bridge.
