Biography

Catherine Gourley, an award-winning author and editor of more than 30 books for young adult readers, has been national project director for Letters About Literature, a reading promotion program of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress, for 24 years. The principal curriculum writer for The Film Foundation’s The Story of Movies, a visual literacy outreach program, she has presented nationally and internationally on reading, visual literacy, women’s issues, and pop culture.
