Biography

St. Martin Parish native Dixie Poché is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Journalism. She is a corporate and travel writer based in Lafayette. Her local history book Classic Eateries of Cajun Country published by Arcadia Publishing is an anthology of Cajun dining in Louisiana, sharing the stories and recipes of 40 of French’s Louisiana’s pioneering old-time bakeries, grocery stores, and restaurants. Special recipes are included.
