Rannah Gray

Biography

Rannah Gray is an international award-winning writer whose first book, Familiar Evil, won 13 book awards and is the subject of two network television true crime documentaries. Her great-nieces, 12-year-old twins Madelyn and Katherine Tom, are her co-authors for the Louisiana Mystery Series books, Case of the Missing Poodle, set in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Mystery of the Heart-Shaped Locket, set in Baton Rouge. Gray earned her BA and master’s degrees in Journalism from LSU.

The Mystery of the Heart-Shaped Locket

On a field trip to Baton Rouge, twin sisters Adeline and Victoria find a heart-shaped locket which they soon believe holds the secrets of an important person in Louisiana history. When a strange woman appears, offering clues in rhyme, our junior detectives are determined to find its rightful owner. Learn about the legend of the Red Stick, and Baton Rouge as a place of mystery, history and maybe even a few ghosts!
