Alexandra Kennon

Biography

Alexandra Kennon is a New Orleans-based, St. Francisville-raised author, journalist, and editor primarily focused on documenting the dynamic culture of the Gulf South. Her book Classic Restaurants of New Orleans, published by Arcadia/The History Press with a foreword by Walter Isaacson, delves into the history, lore, and recipes of 13 of the Crescent City's most storied family-owned restaurants. Since 2020, she has served as Arts & Entertainment Editor at Country Roads magazine, where she regularly contributes articles and photographs.
