Mona Lisa Saloy



Dr. Mona Lisa Saloy is the Conrad N. Hilton Endowed Professor and Coordinator of English at Dillard University.  Her books of verse include Second Line Home: New Orleans Poems and Red Beans and Ricely Yours: Poems, winner of the 2005 T. S. Eliot Prize (Truman State University) and the 2006 PEN/Oakland Josephine Miles Literary Award.  Saloy’s screenplay for Easter Rock premiered at the 2015 Ethnografilm Festival and her documentary Bleu Orleans: Black Creole Culture at Dillard University premiered October 2017.
